The
Weaver Lake trail water-bar crew. This is a steep trail that
needs constant water-bar attention every year.

The
view of Weaver Lake during lunch... life is rough.... The
quiet was deafening.

Cody,
age 10 and his cousin Landon, age 13 enjoying the view. This
type of volunteer work is perfect for children this age. They
were asking "Can we come to the next one?" before
we even pulled out of the campground to return home on Sunday.
By
all means, bring your children! Sometimes we have trips in which
there are 10 or 15 children of all ages. They tend to make friends
with each other and play, fish, run, climb rocks, get dirty,
get wet, scratched, sunburned and smelly. AHHHH! Ain't it great?

The
High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew would not be where it is today
without this woman; Coni Hintergardt has been with the HSVTC
for 4 years, and, as a career RN in the Emergency Room, she
is a member of our medical staff. Coni has a beautiful daughter
Hailey who joins her on most trips. She is the best! |
