Marijuana
Garden
Big Basin State Park
We received an invitation to clean Marijuana gardens in Big Basin
State Park near Santa Cruz. Very beautiful park with lush green trees
towering high creating a canopy to hide a garden.
2150
pounds of garbage was collected this weekend.

As was the case in Blue Canyon, this is as close as we got
to a group shot. This was taken at the cleanup site. We
took advantage of the steep terrain to compose an impromptu
portrait.

Moving into the lush green forest. |

This was an incredibly steep climb through mud and thick foliage
to the cleanup site.,

The garbage is bagged and stacked waiting for the helicopter to
haul it away...
|

...but the helicopter could not negotiate the steep terrain
and tall trees and could not hook on to lift the nets.

So, a "fire brigade" was established and the bags of garbage
were handed down about 1/4 mile away to the...

Now that the garbage had been removed, the restoration could
