Marijuana Garden
(April 7 - 10, 2005)

8150 pounds of garbage was collected this weekend.

Home

There was a huge amount of garbage and infrastructure to dismantle.

Taking down more of the living structure these growers had constructed.

This is most of the garbage that was packaged up and flown out; 3,5 TONS of stuff.

Helen from Oakland on her firs trip picking up garbage.

Adrian (far left) brought his parents over form England to jion in on the...fun. They actually had a wonderful time!

The helicopter, dubbed "H-40" (it's call-sign) brings in a double load to the Batterson Ranger Station north of Oakhurst.

...and brings in the load...

...for a gentle touchdown.

...and the helicopter lowers to gather in the rope again...

What a tremendous shot of the helicopter! Bill Lee took this shot...

After the rope is gathered back in, Shane delivers another net for the collection of more garbage at the grower site.

...and flies off to get another load...

Then people start to unpack the nets and throw the garbage...

...into this dumpster which was filled to capacity when the job was done.

These drip lines, in realitively good shape, were donated to the folks at the San Joaquin River Preservation organizations.

Shane, Norm and Barbara wait for the next load...

...and Norm steals a smooch from Barbara...

Shane and pilot Steve in final preparations before a flight.

It began to rain and the sunlight hit just right to create a rainbow.

A waterfall near the road to the work site.

Mossy trees.

Wide shot of the waterfall.
