Tom at the top of the Patterson Bluffs

One of the many grow sites found at the top of the Patterson Bluffs by Rick and Tom on their recon hike

Trash pit about 4' x 4' x 4', most of the trash covered by fallen oak leaves

Sleeping Fortress on top of the Bluffs

Apparently, bears were a real  problem at the sites on top of the bluffs. This fortress was wired together very strongly, it had a full log roof with plastic over it, and a gate to close up at night

Tom, checking out the sleeping quarters

The floor was covered with a thick layer of pine needles for  comfort

There were several old sleeping bags scattered around the site
