This is bridge that is in dire need of repair. Notice the steps have rotted away, along with part of the log. 
   
This bridge is located at Lewis Creek. It is made from a large pine which fell across the creek 8 years ago. Materials were brought in from the old Cassidy Bridge to repair this one.

Tony Cortez is removing nuts and bolts so that the rotted part of the log can be removed.

New lag screws hold the decking in place. Catherine is starting them with a hammer, then Tony will follow and tighten them with an impact wrench. 
   
Then it began to snow! The tarp is protecting the exposed wood.
