The crew getting ready to head out!  From left to right: Tom Williams, Jim Wall, John Glenn, Julie Evans, Stephanie Snow and Tony Cortez. The pink hardhat behind John is Catherine Sayers. The rest of the crew were: Marty Kemp, Ken Murray, and Barbara Wingfield.

This bridge is a real safety issue. The crew had a great time taking this bridge apart!

Tony and Jim getting down and dirty.

Wow! Gone in no time!

Storing the bridge pieces for later use.

This is the result of dismantling the bridge.

Of course, there is always a tree needing to be removed from the trail.

John and the crew discussing the events of the day. This session was very helpful.

Mike Ketscher discussing bridge building techniques

A bridge Mike and the Sierra Trailshots worked on in 1997. This is the bridge volunteers will help repair during the February 18 - 19th class.

Notice how the bridge has rotted out on this end. A real safety issue.

Mike and John pointed out many different aspects on the Lewis Creek Trail. This is a user defined trail. In other words a shortcut. Notice how steep the trail is. The crew discussed if this should be made a legal trail and the pros and cons of doing so.

If you ever have a chance to take a class with Mike Ketscher do so. The guy is great and has an incredible amount of knowledge he is willing to share with members of the trail crew.

As you can see by the photo Lewis Creek Trail is a beautiful hike.
