To our Volunteers:

Hello Everyone!

We have two trips coming up that we wanted to make sure you knew about.

Trip 1. The Manter II backpacking trip, May 26 through June 1st. We carry the food and cooking equipment, tools, and safety supplies. We also supply the cook and the food for the trip. You carry your personal gear, clothes, tent, and pad, things like this. You also carpool or go to the trailhead yourself.

This is a moderately strenuous week long trip based out of a base camp.

You set up once and that's where you stay for the entire week. Distance to base camp from trail head should be around 5 miles, 2,000ft vertical drop. The base camp is located on trout creek in the Sequoia National forest, there is a reason it is called trout creek.

Base camp to trail head is about 2,000 vertical feet, about 6,500ft to 8,500ft. We will be cutting brush and cross cutting or moving downed trees of off the trail. We also have limited back packing gear that we can loan you. Let us know.

Trip 2. Eastman Lake trail clean up and repair, June 1st. This is a daylong local event. This daylong event that will focus on clearing and repairing the Lake View trail at Eastman Lake from Raymond Rd. back toward the lake.

We will be starting at 8:00 am and working until about 3:00 pm. Please Note: We will not be providing transportation to or from the worksite. Nor, food or water. This is a local event and a great opportunity to get an idea of what we do out on the trails.
